Every garden has it’s own unique quality from wildlife and organic gardens to “the Good Life” garden. There are three gardens opening for the first time and the return of some popular gardens that have had one or more fallow years.
Visit St. Faiths Church to see the flower display and take a walk through the pretty church garden .For the more energetic enjoy a peaceful woodland walk through the beech woods above the canal overlooking the village and visit a mountain smallholding.
Refreshments are available in some gardens throughout the day and morning coffee, lunches and afternoon teas will be available in the village hall. Drop in and enjoy our locally baked cakes and cream teas whilst sitting on the patio taking in the beautiful views of the Blorenge and Sugar Loaf mountains. The local Cadets will be playing a medley of tunes to accompany your lunches and also a flautist will create a peaceful ambience.
The plant stall in the village centre has a varied collection for you to choose from with a crèche to look after your purchases whilst you visit the gardens. Free transport is provided to take you to the more distant gardens, and for a small charge enjoy a tranquil trip along the canal on one of the steam or electric boats. Homemade cakes and refreshments available at Llanfoist Wharf.
All of the gardeners have worked hard to get their gardens ready and are looking forward to seeing you when you visit them. We hope you will find plenty to interest you and maybe even some little inspiration for your own plot.
